Anti-aging Regenerative Medicine with Stem Cell Treatment

Regenerative therapies with stem cells have become increasingly popular in 2024 as alternatives to modern rejuvenation treatments. When delivered subdermally (below the skin) or intravenously (directly into the veins), mesenchymal stem cells have the potential to repair and create new healthy skin cells, muscle cells, and collagen. This treatment also has the potential to lengthen the telomeres of your DNA to reduce genetic aging and improve long-term health.

Stem cell therapy for potential anti-aging regeneration

Every time a cell replicates, the telomeres (strands of DNA) at the ends of our chromosomes get shorter

What causes aging?

There are over 300 theories on why we age. The loss of the inefficiency in cell replication is what generally causes our bodies to age. Aging can be categorized as intrinsic and extrinsic changes our bodies experience during our lifetime. These changes can be negatively impacted by an unhealthy environment and lifestyle choices.

A characteristic seen in intrinsic aging is the genetically predetermined shortening of telomeres and the decline of your body’s own stem cells. Extrinsic aging refers to external factors that cause cell damage like ultraviolet radiation, chemicals, pathogens, and abuse of tobacco. Each time our cells replicate to repair and replace dying and damaged cells, they become “older” and less effective. Over time, this process leads to weaker tissues, chronic diseases, and eventually total shutdown of our organism.

How often do our cells regenerate themselves naturally?

The human body is made up of roughly 30 trillion cells. Some estimates suggest that 1-5% of these cells may be progenitor stem cells that are responsible for cellular regeneration. About 330 billion cells are replaced each day. Calculated by mass, about 4% of these self-regenerating cells are skin cells and another 4% are fat and muscle cells. So the skin and muscle tissues in our bodies were meant to last a long time and thus not regenerated as quickly as other cells.

The information needed to create a new healthy cell is stored inside your DNA. DNA is a marvelous structure, but over time, many factors cause it to “decay”. Each time a cell divides and replicates itself, the telomeres of the new cell become shorter. This repetitive action throughout our lives results in skin, muscle, and organ tissue to be slightly weaker with each replication. And over time, the body loses its ability to properly store and utilize energy within cells to maintain healthy functions. This process can be affected by many other factors and is what is commonly known as natural or biological aging.

How can stem cells treat aging?

Stem cell therapy for potential anti-aging regeneration

Younger mesenchymal stem cells have longer telomeres and can regenerate any type of cell in the body

Stem cell therapy can be used effectively to address the underlying intrinsic and extrinsic damage caused by aging. By replenishing healthy, potent stem cells and by repairing cellular damage, the effects and symptoms of aging can be slowed down and reversed continually, but of course, not indefinitely.

This regenerative therapy may involve subdermal transplantation and intravenous infusion of up to 300 million “young” pluripotent stem cells (ideally 3 million MSCs / kg of body weight) and cell activation therapies. These ethically sourced stem cells will turn into any type of cell the body needs—skin, muscle, cartilage, nerve tissue, organ tissue, and more to restore your body to the way it was in it’s youthful prime and vigor.

Throughout history, people have tried many types of anti-aging treatments to maintain their beauty. Stem cell therapy holds the key by transplanting these young, undifferentiated cells back into adult bodies so they can repair and function the way young cells do. These treatments can only be compared to traditional treatments that seek to do the same thing, not to facelift or plastic surgeries that drastically transform the skin, muscle, cartilage, and bone structures of the body. No traditional anti-aging or beauty treatment can come close to these results obtained on the cellular level with mesenchymal stem cells.

At our clinic, we harvest stem cells typically from the hip bone, femur, or sternum of screened, healthy patients. If blood tests and other studies demonstrate that the patient's own bone marrow is not eligible for cell extraction, we will use a qualified donor who has been screened by our doctors.

The bone marrow is a spongy tissue found in the center of the bones. It functions like a "factory" for new cells and stores fat and certain types of stem cells.

The bone marrow is responsible for producing, maturing, and releasing into the bloodstream a variety of cell types when needed: white cells needed to fight infection, stem cells that make up the immune system, red blood cells needed to carry oxygen, platelets needed to stop bleeding, collagen needed for healthy skin, muscles, tendons, cartilage, and bones, glucosamine to combat osteoarthritis, relieve joint pain, and reduce inflammation in the joints, and more.

Researchers have confirmed that bone marrow contains rich reserves of stem cells, growth factors, cytokines, hyaluronic acid, exosomes, and other extracellular matrix components. Stem cells derived from the bone marrow can be transplanted into humans and become any type of cell to repair and regenerate the body!

Before it was popularized by celebrities, for over 35 years, our doctors have been harnessing the tissues in the bone marrow to reproduce and harvest stem cells to regenerate organs, rejuvenate cells, and treat diseases.

What are mesenchymal stem cells?

Mesenchymal stem cells are adult cells that have self-renewing, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, homing, and pluripotent properties. These cells can differentiate, or turn into any type of cell tissue of the body—brain cell, nerve cell, heart cell, liver cell, blood cell, bone cell, eye cell, kidney cell, muscle cell, skin cell, and others.

Where do mesenchymal stem cells come from?

Mesenchymal stem cells are naturally found in our bodies to aid in our growth and repair over the years. By adulthood, only a small quantity of MSCs remain in our bodies, thus contributing to declining regenerative abilities as we age.

Our clinic harvests and multiplies mesenchymal stem cells from bone marrow tissue of healthy, screened patients (either your own or from a qualified donor). In the laboratory, these stem cells are extracted from the tissues and undergo extensive genetic, serological, and microbiological tests to guarantee safety and quality. These cells are carefully stimulated to reproduce themselves by the millions and then administered in regenerative medicine at our clinic.

Ethics & safety

Are marrow-derived stem cells ethical and safe for anti-aging and rejuvenative treatments?

Using stromal mesenchymal stem cells derived from healthy bone marrow of screened patients (either oneself or an eligible donor) does not raise ethical concerns since the cells are not from discarded in vitro embryos or other questionable sources.

Federal regulations

Is it legal to get stem cells in Mexico?

Yes, our clinic is federally licensed, so all of our treatments are legal and are performed by qualified medical professionals. Other clinics get stem cells delivered from a third-party lab which causes degradation of stem cells through hours of transit. Because we would never jeopardize patients’ wellbeing or our long-standing reputation, we have our own private laboratory to harvest and administer stem cells immediately upon preparation to ensure maximum bioavailability for our patients.

Our private laboratory abides by the and application centers abide by the highest international standards such as COFEPRIS and ISO class 5 and 6. Our clinic is accountable to the COFEPRIS and strictly adheres to proven clinical standards.

Long-lasting results

Can stem cells really rejuvenate the body?

Stem cells don’t do miracles, but they far exceed traditional rejuvenation treatments. Patients from all over the globe have successfully received stem cell therapy for anti-aging to regenerate skin tissue and muscle tissue, improve energy levels, and prevent the onset of chronic diseases. Now, this once-elite therapy is made more accessible to you at our regenerative medicine clinic in Puerto Vallarta.

We perform extensive lab work to determine eligibility and identify the exact type, quantity, and application of stem cells that will benefit each patient individually.

Anti-aging: Traditional Treatment Compared to Stem Cell Therapy

Traditional Anti-aging Treatments in 2024

  • Administered by: dermatologists, nurses, general doctors, estheticians, beauty technicians. Typically does not require a specialist.
  • Creams, solutions, elixirs in a wide variety to provide nutrients needed by the cells.
  • Injections such as Botox and hyaluronic acid to improve the appearance of aging skin and muscle structures.
  • Chemical peels to remove damaged skin layers.
  • Fractional laser resurfacing and abrasion techniques to destroy old skin layers and prompt the body to produce newer skin layers.
  • Pharmaceutical drugs to maintain healthy metabolic functions.
  • Stress-management techniques to reduce oxidative stress.
  • Physical exercise to improve health and mood.
  • OTC “stem cell” creams from plants may not be effective.
  • OTC “stem cell” creams from human and animal tissue may have a poor percentage of live cells and could cause harm.
  • On average, women spend $3,756 USD per year on their appearance and men spend $2,928 per year. The treatments and products vary but the ultimate goal remains the same—to look good.

Typical anti-aging treatments and products primarily seek to improve the appearance of the skin by means of creams, injections, and manual stimulation. The goal of these treatments is to improve the structural composition of current cells and prompt the body to generate newer cells.

The problem with these traditional beauty and anti-aging therapies is that they do not address the underlying cause of aging, they simply try to cause an already-decaying cell to reproduce sooner. Beware of products claiming to contain plant stem cells. Products have entered the market and confused buyers, but they should not be mistaken for human stem cells. Even products that claim to have human stem cells are undoubtedly ineffective since real pluripotent stem cells need to remain in cryopreservation and be administered directly into the tissue or bloodstream.

Stem Cell Treatment for Anti-aging in 2024

  • Requires specialist care. May be performed in parallel with traditional treatments.
  • Not only regenerates accumulated years of daily cellular aging but also could lengthen telomeres.
  • Subdermal dose of 7 million mesenchymal stem cells + facial PRP.
Intravenous dose starting at 56 million mesenchymal stem cells (up to 300 million or 3 million MSCs cells per kilo of weight) to repair tissue and restore balance and energy levels.
  • Personalized intravenous vitamin serums to nourish and activate the stem cells, providing the building blocks for the regenerative process.
  • Cleansing facial treatment
  • Dermapen microneedling
  • Facial mask treatment
  • The stem cells continue replicating inside the body, continually regrowing “younger” cells for 6-18 months.
  • New cells replace dying or damaged cells to restore skin and muscle appearance.
  • Organs, hormones, and metabolism also are greatly benefited.
  • Flow of nutrients and oxygen in the body improves.
  • Optional therapies such as exosomes and bioidentical hormone replacement help regulate cellular differentiation and improve chemical balance.
  • Cost per treatment starts at $3,000 USD. A single treatment can last up to 3 years.

Since stem cells are responsible for the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, this anti-aging treatment goes to the root of the problem. No OTC anti-aging product can compare to stem cells from healthy human bone marrow tissue in terms of longevity and results.

While stem cells do not cure aging, the objective of this medical approach is to regenerate new healthy cells in large quantities fast enough to help slow progression of aging and to sustainably repair tissues and metabolic processes that contribute to good health. Because mesenchymal stem cells have a regenerative effect, the number of patients seeking this therapy at our clinic continues to grow.
